Late last night, a fire broke out at the 4th Ward Bread Company on Graham St. in Uptown Charlotte. According to The Observer, it took 70 firefighters and one hour to control the blaze. The block of Graham and 6th St. was completely blocked off last night to tame the fire.
According to Twitter, 4th Ward Bread Co. had just celebrated it’s one year anniversary on September 13th. The bakery was an inviting spot for 4th Ward residents and folks working in Uptown. They are known for their Kronuts, eclectic decor, and comfortable work space.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. We truly hope that the family-run bakery can rebuild and once again thrive in the historic 4th Ward.
